Dunlap Ranch, located in the beautiful area known as Crighton Woods just north of The Woodlands, is a small, fun, family operated horse facility that places the well being of our equine friends first. 

Our main emphasis is providing quality care that is tailored to meet the need of each individual horse in our custody.  We realize that every horse has different nutritional needs based on its age, activity level, and individual makeup.  We work closely with each owner to establish a nutritional program that will best benefit his equine friend.  In addition, we promote mental and physical wellness by allowing our horses access to our pastures 24 hours a day.  By allowing the horses to graze together as a herd, many of the vices and behavioral problems that are frequently seen in boarded horses are reduced or elminated altogether.

We promote the relationship between horse and rider by hosting trail rides, playdays, and weekend camping trips with our horses.  Many of us utilize natural horsemanship methods such as Parelli Natural Horsemanship and frequently hold work sessions where we view training materials, work with our horses and share ideas. 

Dunlap Ranch has ten acres of pasture with several large shade trees.  Located within riding distance from the ranch are many miles of riding trails along the San Jacinto River and through the woods behind the ranch.  We are also located only ten minutes from Jones State Park and thirty minutes from excellent equestrian trails in the Sam Houston National Forest.

Below is a listing of our basic services that are included in our monthly boarding fee of $350.00.  Our services will be customized based on your horse's specific needs.

• 24 hour a day turn out except in inclement weather
• blanketing and stalling during inclement weather
• tack storage
• feeding quality feed and hay twice daily
• private stall for each horse
• meeting with veterinarian and farrier
• application of ointments and treatments as specified by a veterinarian
• feeding daily supplements as directed by owner
• Ivermectin dewormer administered every six weeks

Dunlap Ranch is small and family oriented with limited space for new boarders.  We strive to make our ranch safe and fun for everyone.  As such, we have strict requirements for anyone who chooses to join us. 

All horses must have regular farrier work/hoof care, annual vaccines, current negative coggins screening, and must not be neglected in any way.  We do not board stallions or unruly and dangerous horses.
